Position Summary

The Leduc Public Library seeks an energetic Librarian who is committed to excellence in public service, intellectual freedom and community outreach to fill a maternity leave. The successful candidate will possess strong computing skills and will participate as part of the management team that runs this vibrant library. Plans, organizes and conducts programming for adults in the community and works together with the other members of the Programming and Outreach Services Department in planning programming for teens and special events. This position is responsible for the management of reference services and is also key member of the circulation team. Technology planning, special projects, leading an ESL conversation group and administration make up the balance of this position.


      • MLIS from an accredited Library and Information Studies program
      • Strong communication and presentation skills
      • Excellent customer service skills
      • Strong instructional skills, as teaching patrons technology is part of this position

Current Schedule

This is a 35 hour per week position.
Evening and weekend work will be required.
