Youth Services Assistant – Children & Teen Programming

Permanent Part-Time Position

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Youth Services Coordinator as part of our team.

  • Work independently and contribute positively to a diverse programming team
  • Be versatile, friendly and comfortable interacting with children, teens and caregivers

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a related field, or equivalent experience will be considered
  • Experience in planning and leading programs and events for babies up to teens
  • At least one year working with children in a public setting
  • Comfortable with being innovative and using new technologies
  • Upon hiring, must provide both a criminal check and a social services child welfare check
  • Ability to work flexible hours as evening work will be required
  • Up to date first -aid would be considered an asset

Current Schedule

20 hours per week 

Tentative Schedule

Tuesday  11:30am - 5pm
Wednesday  2:30 - 8 pm
Thursday & Friday  9 am - 2:30 pm
